Cracker Proof is an interactive app that aims at educating the user about how to build a strong password. It is primarily aimed to teach kids about what it takes to build a strong hacker-proof password, but it could be used within schools and companies to educate their workforce as well.
(ISC)2s CISSP domain on Access Control covers authentication and access controls in depth. The OWASP Top 10 application security risks ranks broken authentication within its top 5 threats, each time these risks are published.
Passwords are used for authentication purposes, but most of them are weak and one finds out about it, in most cases, only after a security breach. It is therefore important to teach your kids (and adults) about building strong password.
Cracker Proof uses a step by step approach, starting with a weak password and it provides both visual feedback using radial gauges and textual explanations to explain the reasons as to why a password is weak and what one should do to make it strong.
If you do not want your password to be cracked by a hacker, you need Cracker Proof.

Tried it after I saw it on TV. Nice idea, specially for kids, teens, and carefree adults. However it is crude, low resolution and not optimized for the iPhone 5s screen. Would like to see it analyze other passwords, not just the examples provided, apart from a much needed visual polish. Keep Walking.
Clearly explains what makes a password stronger as it progresses from example to example. Great app for understanding and earning something that is so ubiquitous and important.
